As a former Mayor of Beverly Hills and current member of the city council, John has been committed to promoting transparency and public participation in local governance while highlighting the rich cultural heritage of the Beverly Hills area.

John was a film studio executive for many years, including in Austria and Sweden, where he is a citizen. His great-grandfather immigrated to the US from Krakow, Poland in 1891 at the age of 17.
