Katherine Hauptman is the Director of Sweden’s newly established Holocaust Museum. Prior to this role, she served as the director of the Swedish History Museum in Stockholm, one of the largest museums in the country. Katherine holds a Ph.D. in archaeology and has an extensive background in academia, having worked as a university lecturer. In addition, she has led the Swedish branch of ICOM, the International Council of Museums. Born in Poland, Katherine was directly affected by the antisemitic campaign in 1968 and immigrated to Sweden in 1973
